disney. hard at work.

scene: local grocery store

mommy: cassidy, do you want to get some apples?
cassidy: yeah, let’s get some apples.
mommy: what kind do you want?
cassidy: … poison?
mommy: … … … ahahahaha

those kids.

so we took cassidy trick-or-treating for the first time this year. she was dressed as fa mulan. at first she was a bit tentative as if she was thinking, “why are you making me go to a stranger’s house?” but she soon got the hang of it realizing that these strangers were giving her… candy!

after we went to 5 or 6 houses, she was ready to go home (back to her fa mulan house). at one point, we bypassed her own house toward which she pointed saying, “mommy! that’s my fa mulan house!” she then saw a group of kids walking up our driveway, and she said, “mommy. those kids is going to my fa mulan house?”

i said, “yes.”

pause. cassidy says, “they going to play with my babies?”

i said, “oh! no, cassidy, they’re going to go trick-or-treating like you, and get some candy from daddy.”

cassidy says, “oh. ok.” another pause. “it’s my daddy.”

off his face.

cassidy fed her mr. bunny at the morning snack today. she game him a spoonful of cheerios and then ate it off his face. she also helped peter go down for nap.

pizza.

cassidy played in the backyard this morning. she climbed and jumped on the big mats. after nap she helped make a pizza. she touched the dough, spread the sauce around and put some cheese on. after it baked, we ate it for snack.

concert.

cassidy stood up on one of the risers and put on a concert for us. she sang “monkeys jumping on the bed,” “old mcdonald,” and more. it was very entertaining.

feeding the babies.

cassidy had a great day; she danced and sang during the music time. outside in the dramatic area, she spent a long time playing and feeding the babies.

nine!

cassidy practiced her jumping and counting skills this morning. she stood on the riser and counted to three while holding a baby saying, “1, 2, 3… jump.” at one point she counted to nine!

sang a song.

cassidy played with alexandra after nap today. alexandra laid down on a pillow and cassidy patted her back. she also sang a song about her.

baby.

today cassidy had fun playing “baby” with alexandra outdoors. alexandra laid down on the couch as cassidy placed a blanket over her and patted her back.

goopy feet.

cassidy helped to make goop in the sensory tubs this morning. once it was all mixed, she pulled up a chair, sat down, and began dripping goop onto her bare feet.
