shhh.

cassidy helped me pat jess down for a nap today. she’d periodically say, “shhh” with her finger to her mouth. then she imitated how i moved my hand on his back with a pat or a rub.

independence.

when cassidy woke from her nap, she was wearing only one shoe. she climbed to the loft with her other shoe and tried so hard to put it on herself!

as usual.

as usual cassidy had a blast playing in the sprinkler. in the afternoon, she played in the backyard on the climbing mats.

vegetable and melon.

cassidy tried using some more new signs today (vegetable and melon) during lunch. in the morning, she played with waterwheels at the sensory table and climbed on the mats.

no ice pop.

cassidy fell asleep on the buggy walk today! she was so tired that she didn’t even wake up when we offered her an ice pop. after we got back, she played at the sensory tubs, scooping shredded flair.

surprise.

cassidy had a surprise visit from lolo and lola today. they watched as cassidy played in the sprinkler and shook a shaker during music time.

bounced up and down.

cassidy seemed to really enjoy music time today. she danced, shook a shaker, and bounced up and down. in the afternoon, she climbed on the climbing structure in the two’s backyard.

cute.

cassidy was all about the sprinkler again this morning. she loves getting her face wet and then running away. so silly! after nap, when cassidy walked outside, isabella said, “cassidy looks cute.”
